
15 Police recruits have sustained serious injuries after they were involved in accident along Karuma-Pakwach road

Allegations indicate that on Tuesday at around 10:40pm, a motor vehicle registration number UP 00296 Isuzu Elf blue in color was carrying 49 recruits and one trainer on their way from Manafwa police station where they have been on attachment for elections.
They were returning to resume their initial training at Ikafe training school in Yumbe district via Karuma -Pakwach junction through Murchison park.
Mudong says the vehicle overturned after developing a mechanical problem according to the Driver’s statement.
15 recruits got injured and were rushed to Anaka main hospital by good Samaritan for medication.
Okema adds that the scene was visited by SP Niwagaba Ivan, the District Police Commander of Nwoya police, ASP Ogwal Khasule District Traffic Officer for Nwoya police and assisted by other traffic officers.
He adds that other victims who remained at the scene were picked by an ambulance and rushed to Anaka hospital.
