7th Edition of Elite Secondary School Games Postponed

The seventh edition of the Elite Secondary school games has been rescheduled due to the change in the date for schools reopening.

The new dates confirmed by the Uganda Secondary Schools’ Sports Association (USSSA) are from 26th February to 1st March 2026.

USSSA chief executive officer (CEO) Christopher Mugisha Banage made the confirmation.

These games were earlier scheduled to take place on the 13th to 16th February 2026.

The Ministry of Education and Sports pushed the restart for the first term from 1st February to 10th February 2026 due to the on-going national and general elections.

The 7th Elite Secondary School Games will be hosted at Janan Secondary School in Bombo after 6th edition was successfully held in Mpigi by St Joseph of Nazareth, Kavule.

Football, Volleyball, Basketball (3X3 & 5X5) and Rugby 7’s will be played by boys and girls. Netball shall be played by girls only.
