Polls Open Today for Gulu City Workers’ Representative Seat

The election for Workers’ representative for Gulu City is slated for today.

Mike Juuko, the Gulu City Electoral Commission Returning Officer says the election will be conducted from Gulu Town Primary school.

He also says that the voters will elect the Male Councilor and Female Councilor representing them at the City Council.

A total of six candidates have been nominated who will contest for the position of Male and Female Workers Councilors.

The position is currently occupied by Akena Lameck Lambert (Male) and Christine Olok (Female).

Among the key people who have shown interest for the position of Male Councilor Workers for Gulu City is Alex Okoya, the LC II of Labour line ward.

The voters for Workers’ representatives are drawn from the different unions like medical, media and farmers among others.
