Lira Police Probe Suspected Murder After Decomposing Body Found

Lira City West Division Police is investigating a case of suspected murder reported yesterday at around 9:00am.

Jimmy Patrick Okema, the North Kyoga Police Spokesperson says the report was made by 57-year-old Adupa Johnson, the Director of Savior Secondary School–Lira City who resides at Kakoge “B” Cell, Ojwina Ward, Lira City West Division, Lira City.

The incident is believed to have occurred on an unknown date at Kakoge “B” Cell, Ojwina Ward, Lira City West Division, Lira City.

Okema says the deceased is an unidentified decomposing body of an adult male.

No suspects had been identified by press time.

Yesterday at about 09:00am, Adupa reported to police after a decomposing body of an unknown person, suspected to be a male adult, was discovered inside a pit latrine at Savior Secondary School in Kakoge “B” Cell.

Okema says the scene of crime was visited, examined, and documented by the DPC, OC CID, Crime Intelligence personnel, scene of crime officers, Fire Brigade, Homicide team, and other officers.
