Gulu Security Apprehend 10 Suspects Over Laroo House Break-Ins

Security personnel in Gulu City have apprehended at least 10 suspected thugs in connection with house break-ins that occurred over the weekend in the Laroo area.

They were arrested yesterday after the community reported the cases to the Deputy Resident City Commissioner Peter Banya, who helped intervene to stop the rampant incidents in the area.

In an interview, the Deputy City Commissioner of Pece Laroo Division, Peter Banya, said they want to sweep the city clean and ensure there are no criminal activities.

Banya confirms that the 10 suspected thugs will be screened and investigated by the police before being forwarded to the court.

He appeals to the LC I officials to collaborate with security personnel to ensure the area is secure and any criminal activity reduced.

Komakech Patrick, a Gulu City resident, praised the Deputy City Commissioner for his efforts, urging him to continue being the voice of the people of Gulu City to help in reducing crime.

Komakech appeals to the police and army to target the dark spots in the city if they want to arrest more thugs because they mostly hide in such places.

Last month, Gulu City police arrested about 25 people suspected of smoking marijuana in Laroo Division, and all were subsequently taken to prison.
