Angry Mob on Wednesday afternoon burned 12 houses belonging to Suspected Cultist in Agung Village, Oding Parish in Unyama sub-county in Gulu district.
Unyama sub-county LC3 Chairperson, Justine Kidega confirms this incident saying that Police have already launched their investigation into the incident.
Kidega in an interview said that for several Months, residents of Olano-Agung Village have been suspecting the Woman for practicing witchcraft and Occultism on people and their property.
Kidega says that last week, the Community gathered a security meeting involving the area LC1 of the Village and demanded that the accused person leave the area immediately.
However, the Woman later went to Police after the meeting and reported the Community.
A meeting was gathered on Wednesday where Community members, security officials and local leaders gathered to solve the issue.
The Community were further outraged by the conduct of the Woman, where they later left the meeting and went and burned all her houses and Property.
Kidega says the Police is conducting operation and investigation into the matter.
He advises that Violence is not the best way to communicate adding that after investigation scientific and traditional conclusion should be sought to restore the community.
