
Girls at Angaba primary school, Koro sub county in Omoro district are reportedly missing school due to their menstruation cycles.
Alice Aber, the head teacher of the school says whenever the girls stay at home whenever they are experiencing menstruation due to the lack of sanitary pads and changing rooms.
Aber is currently sourcing for any organization or good hearted person to help support the girls at her school with sanitary pads and construction of changing rooms for the girls.
According to Aber, there are several challenges at the school including the structures at the school which are too old hence discouraging pupils from attending school which is swiftly reducing enrollment.
Vincent Oceng Ocen, the District Education Officer for Omoro district says the school should formally write to his office about their challenges and for ways of devising solutions.
The school enrollment as of last year at Angaba primary school was 500 but this term it has reduced to 300.
