Uganda Cranes Defender Shadia Nankya Seals Move to Le Havre

Uganda Women’s National Football Team defender Shadia Nankya has sealed a move to French top flight league outfit Le Havre.

Nankya has put pen to paper on a one and half year deal at Le Havre, becoming the first female Ugandan footballer to move to France.

It should be noted that even last year, Nankya made history as the first Ugandan female footballer to move to the National Women Soccer League (NWSL) in USA with Washington Spirit.

However, she did not play for them and was loaned out to the second division side Dallas Trinity.

Le Havre currently sits eighth on the table with 16 points from as many games.

Nankya has previously featured for FC Masar in Egypt, Uganda Martyrs Lubaga and UCU Lady Cardinals in Uganda.
