NUWAHR Partners with Church of Sweden to Tackle Teenage Pregnancy

Northern Uganda Women’s Association for Human Rights (NUWAHR) has partnered with the Church of Sweden to combat teenage pregnancy in Gulu City.

Caroline Adio, the Director of NUWAHR says the aim is to help teens change their lives. 

She appeals to Church of Sweden to provide transport for outreach workers in order to support poor communities.

Onoria Ambrose, the Resident City Commissioner fir Gulu City praises NUWAHR’s support for girls in Acholi, advising them to expand their reach.

Kevin Ajok, a resident of Gulu City praises the Church of Sweden for focusing on school dropouts, urging the organization to avoid mismanagement in order to accelerate development.

Northern Uganda Women’s Association for Human Rights (NUWAHR) is a grassroots, rights-based organization founded in 2016 by a group of passionate volunteer young women.

Born out of the urgent need to address the long-standing impacts of the 20-year Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) conflict in Northern Uganda, NUWAHR is committed to promoting and defending the rights of vulnerable members of the community.
