Northern Uganda agriculture trade show kicks off

The fifth edition of the Northern Uganda Agriculture Trade show kicked off at Kaunda grounds in Gulu City with over 100 exhibitors turning up.

The exhibitors include the National Agriculture Research Organisation (NARO), tractor dealers, innovators, seed and feed companies among others.

Grace Musimami, one of the organizers says the show which kicked off well with attendance from students and a good number of members of the public will be officially opened today by Alfred Okwonga, the Gulu City Mayor.

George Nicholas Kidega, the Gulu City Principal Commercial Officer calls on local business persons to be a part of the show which is slated to end on Monday.

Kidega says local dealers in drinks and food are welcome to be a part of the event as show goers expect to eat and drink.

The trade show which has been organised by Agriculture Sector Network Uganda and Gulu City Council is being held under the theme “Unlocking the Opportunities for a sustainable Future.”
