Police in Dokolo district is holding two suspects in connection with the murder of a 22 year old farmer identified as Ambrose Awany, a resident of Abino cell, Bata Town Council.
Awany was reportedly assaulted at around 8:00pm on the 15th of last month by one 25 year old Vincent Oceng and 17 year old Okello Kizito during a fight at Doglam Trading Center over unclear reasons.
Patrick Jimmy Okema, the North Kyoga Police Spokesperson says Isaac Ogwal, a brother to the deceased says Awany did not initially report the assault until on Tuesday this week.
Awany says he was assaulted on the head which caused a visible swelling.
Okema says Awany was rushed to Lwala Hospital in Kalaki district from where he died on Wednesday at around 4:00am.
He says statements have been recorded from witnesses to help police with investigations adding that the body has been handed over to the family for burial.
