

Amuru district Council sitting on Monday this week has approved a Budget of 34,070,896,000 for the Financial year 2026/2027.
This budget indicates that the district has recorded an increase when compared to the budget of the Financial year 2025/2026.
In a Press statement released by Amuru Resident District Commissioner, Osborn Geoffrey Oceng said that this increment reflects improved planning, strengthened fiscal discipline and prioritization of critical service delivery.
The approved budget focuses on key sector for social economic transformation like Education, Health, road infrastructure, environmental sector among others
Oceng adds that the implementation of the approved budget will focus effective utilization of resources, value for money, regular Monitoring and accountability in line with National development priorities and government Policy guidance.
Amuru district LC5 Chairperson, Hon. Micheal Lakony in an Interview with our reporter called for unity among the technocrats and elected leaders so that the vision of the district is achieved.
