Four Teachers Arrested Over Suspected Murder of Man in Dokolo District

Four teachers of Next Generation Primary School in Agwata Town Council, Dokolo district are in police detention in connection with the murder of a 45-year old man.

The suspects include; 27 year old Olot Jaspher, 24 year old Opio Justin Innocent, 23 year old Okello Benedict Moses and 24 year old Ojwok Samuel Baker.

The quartet were arrested after a shirt and a simcard belonging to Ogwal Jimmy John; the deceased were recovered near the staff quarters of Next Generation Primary School on Sunday.

Ogwal was reportedly last seen alive on Saturday at Tetugo Trading Centre where he had gone to socialize with friends before leaving at around 10:00pm while drunk.

His body was recovered the following day floating in Olweny Swamp in Agwata Town Council.

Patrick Jimmy Okema, the North Kyoga Region police spokesperson says a team of police officers from Dokolo Central Police Station picked up the body and took it to Lira Regional Referral Hospital for a postmortem.

Okema says investigations into the incident are ongoing.
