
Ambassador Dr. Olara Otunu has warned against bickering now that the election period has ended with the swearing in of new leaders.
Otunu who was speaking during the swearing in of the Council members of Omoro district last Tuesday says that a society that bickers, fights and undermines each other when elections are over is a doomed one.
He urges newly sworn in leaders and the public in Omoro district to emulate the developed world where political parties unite for development and welfare of the public they serve.
Andrew Okot also known as Obibi, the newly sworn in L.C V Chairperson of Omoro district in his maiden speech calls on members of the third council to embark on work saying they should leave politics behind.
Meanwhile, poor roads remain one of the biggest challenges facing residents of Omoro district.
Agnes Akello, a local resident says residents are most times forced to sell off their agricultural produce cheaply to middle men due to bad roads which block them from better markets.
