Working class advised to prioritize wellness diagnosis

The working class have been advised by a cancer patient who is also a health care worker in Gulu city who begged for her name, to prioritize wellness diagnosis so as to stay healthy and fit and to avoid being surprised by some diseases like cancer which is a silent killer disease.

A wellness diagnosis, also known as a health promotion diagnosis, is a clinical judgment about a person’s motivation and desire to improve their well-being.

It can be made for individuals, families, groups, or communities.

According to the health worker, the working class don’t care about their health, all they focus on is work 24/7 days forgetting that when they fall sick and die, they will be replaced and not even their relatives or children will be allowed to take over the jobs they are prioritizing now.

She says that at least in 3 months, the working class should spare time and do organ check, conduct Complete Blood Count (CBC) and other tests then present the results to their health worker to explain to them so they understand what is going on in their bodies and adopt better strategies to make sure they are healthy always.

She adds that cancer is a silent disease that starts showing signs and symptoms while in stage 4 or 3 and if not checked earlier, it will be bad news when one realizes it late.

She shares her story of realizing through checkup that she had cancer early enough and it really helped her get early treatment which has saved her life and she is very okay but if she had a poor habit of checkup like most working class do, she would be no more.
