Women have been urged to be submissive in order to avoid conflict in their marriage.
The call was made over the weekend by Pastor Jolly Laker, the Lead Pastor at Spirit-Filled International Ministries during a Winning Woman’s Conference held at Acholi Inn Hotel in Gulu City
Laker notes that God called women to be helpers in their marriage adding that they should support and help their Husbands in order to have a thriving Home
She also cautions women against the tendency of relying only on their Husbands for financial provision which makes women vulnerable.
Laker further says that they are planning to set up a girls empowerment program for vulnerable women and girls in Northern Uganda.
Reverend Margaret Aciro, the General Secretary for born again Churches under the National Fellowship of born-again Pentecostal Churches says several women in Northern Uganda face a number of problems because of the two decade LRA war.
She says the Wise Women conference was aimed at teaching Women various values in homes, business, marriage among others.
The Conference which attracted over 1,000 Women was held under the theme. ‘’Ladies In Action’’ and various guest speakers spoke on themes of Marriage, Business, Leadership among others.
