A 60-year old man has been mauled to death by an elephant in Lungulu Sub county, Nwoya district.
Samuel Bampalana who was a worker on a farm in Got Okwara Village was killed by the wild animal at around 7:30am on Saturday.
Reports say that the deceased who hails from Bukokoba village, Bugoa sub county in Buyende District, was in the farm working with another worker when a group of elephants chased after them killing Bampalana instantly.
A case of Sudden Death of killing by an elephant was reported at Got Apwoyo Police Station under vide DEF. 006/2026.
Police who visited the scene, picked the body and took it to Anaka General Hospital for postmortem.
