A total of 4,957 Primary Seven Candidates have registered to sit the Mock examinations in Gulu city.
Mildred Auma, the Gulu City Communications Officer says that the candidates include 2,334 boys and 2,623 girls.
This is an increase by 458 candidates from last year’s 4,499 who sat the exams.
Last year, 2,311 boys and 2,138 girls sat Mock exams in Gulu City Primary Schools.
Mock exams are an important component of preparing candidate for the final exams slated for November.
Education experts say that mock exams help in building mental endurance, identify knowledge gaps, and improve time management.
They also reduce anxiety and significantly increase confidence among candidates.
