Agago District Receives New Pickup Under Climate Smart Agriculture Project

Agago district has received a brand new double cabin Pick up under the Climate Smart Agriculture Project.

The Pickup was donated by Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Husbandary and Fisheries (MAAIF) and received by the district Chairman, Honorable Wilson Otto who later handed over the Vehicle to the Production department.

Speaking shortly after receiving the Vehicle, Otto said that the vehicle will greatly enhance agricultural mobilization, field supervision, and extension service delivery across the district.

He adds that It will also enable Farmers and technical teams to reach more farmers, promote climate-smart farming practices, provide timely advisory services, and strengthen monitoring of agricultural programmes.

Otto notes that as Agago District continues to prioritize agriculture as the backbone of their local economy, this support comes at a critical time when farmers need improved extension services to increase productivity, build resilience to climate change, and improve household incomes.

He pledges to ensure   that the vehicle is properly managed and utilized to improve service delivery and transform agriculture for the benefit of our communities.
