Pastor Patience Kokundeka Museveni Rwabwogo has been consecrated as Episcopal Bishop of Covenant Nations Churches in Uganda and beyond, marking a new chapter in the 20-year journey of the church she founded and has led.
The consecration was conducted at Maya-Luzira by international evangelist Bishop Dr LaDonna C. Osborn, assisted by Pastor Enoch Adeboye of Redeemed Christian Church of God in Nigeria, Archbishop Moses Odongo of the Pentecostal Churches in Uganda and other senior Christian leaders.
The ceremony attracted religious leaders, dignitaries and members of the congregation who witnessed Rwabwogo formally assume the episcopal office.
Before the consecration, Church Elder Allen Kagina presented Rwabwogo to Bishop Osborn, saying church elders had carefully examined her Christian character, conduct, doctrine, ministry and leadership before finding her suitable for the office.
Kagina says the elders have observed Rwabwogo’s growth in the faith and the development of her ministry throughout the 20-year history of Covenant Nations Church.
The presentation also recognised Rwabwogo’s family and spiritual heritage, including her parents, President Yoweri Museveni and First Lady Janet Kataha Museveni, and her husband, Odrek Rwabwogo, whom the ceremony described as a steadfast partner in the ministry.
The consecration comes as Covenant Nations Church celebrates 20 years since its establishment, with Osborn describing the new episcopal responsibility not as a promotion for personal prestige but as a summons to deeper sacrifice, wider service and greater responsibility.
