Gulu Regional Referral mortuary, which has been under renovation since early July, is near completion, according to a report from the hospital administration.
The mortuary which was in a dilapidated state was renovated at 167.8 million shillings secured from the Ministry of Health.
Walter Uriekwun, the Principal Hospital Administrator says 98 % of the work is complete with fridges already installed.
Uriekwun says the mortuary services are expected to resume next week.
Gulu Regional Referral Hospital mortuary has a capacity of accommodating six bodies.
