Police in North Kyoga are investigating a fire incident at Mukwano Industries in lira city that damaged the factory’s roof and several bags of sun flower husks.
Patrick Jimmy Okema, the North Kyoga Police Spokesperson says that the fire was reported at around 6:00am yesterday.
Okema says that the fire started from bags of sunflower husks that had been piled up to the roof.
He says that this gave the fire fighters a hard time in putting out the fire but that it was later managed.
Okema explains that part of the factory’s roof caved in due to the damage caused by the fire.
He says police were yet to establish the cause of the fire.
