Dennis Adim Enap Snubs UPC Disciplinary Committee Hearing

Dennis Adim Enap, the self-proclaimed Uganda People’s Congress (UPC) party president, boycotted the party’s National Disciplinary Committee hearing in which he was summoned to answer queries of insubordination and misconduct.

The hearing, which took place at Garden Inn Hotel in Lira city, saw the committee only hearing the complainant’s witness testimonies as Adim did not show up.

Peter Paul Okello, the UPC Disciplinary Committee Chairperson, explains that the committee commenced proceedings following a complaint lodged by the party’s National Chairperson Brenda Atim Kinyera, alleging misconduct by some party members.

Okello explains that the sitting is an internal arrangement aimed at addressing challenges within the party.

Regarding Adim’s absence, Okello says that the committee will come up with a ruling regardless of whether or not he appears because he was notified ahead of time.
