Laroo-Pece Council Warns Hotel Owners Over Revenue Collection

The council of Laroo-Pece division has tasked the office of the Town Clerk to issue a strong warning to the hotel owners within their division for frustrating revenue collection.

The warning was sounded during a full council meeting held on Wednesday.

Oola Mark, the secretary finance committee for Laroo-Pece division says that during their monitoring, they discovered that most lodges and hotels lack clear and authentic records of their daily operations.

Oola says these hotel and lodge owners hide their registry books away but they also have multiple books for registration.

He says these hotels hand over the book with the lowest record when the division visits them.

The council also tasked the revenue officer to start making constant follow up on such businesses that are intentional on frustrating revenue collection in the division.
