The Diocese of Northern Uganda has kicked off preparations to bid farewell to the Archbishop of Uganda, the Most Rev. Stephen Kazimba Mugalu who is retiring in August 2027 after seven years of service.
Kazimba who was consecrated as Archbishop of the Church of Uganda in March 2020 is scheduled to be at the diocese of Northern Uganda from September 26th t0 27th to bid farewell to the bishops, priests, clergy and Christians.
On September 27th, the Archbishop will lead a big mass at Gulu High School.
Rt. Rev. Godfrey Loum, the Bishop of Northern Uganda Diocese while addressing a press conference at the diocese yeterday morning made an appeal for financial support from the public towards the event.
Bishop Loum says that the diocese is expecting to receive many guests coming from outside Gulu to attend the function.
Rev. Allan Otim, the coordinator of the organizing committee says the public can send their support through Momo on 0786152975 or to the nearest Anglican Church.
