A new farmers market is set to be launched in Patiko Sub County, Gulu District, to boost business and local revenue.
Patrick Komakech, the L.CIII Chairperson of Patiko Sub County, says the market, a private-public partnership, will be launched on December 24th in Pajaa village.
Patiko Sub County currently has five markets, including Ajulu, Pawel Angany, Patalira, Akwii and Teladwong.
The market will be located on two acres of land offered by one Charles Komakech, a community member who envisages that the facility will boost commerce considering its location, which is between Awach and Patiko sub-counties.
The market is set to be held every Saturday and the 26th of every month.
