Acen Brenda, the head teacher of Regent nursery and primary school and a teacher only identified as Michelle have been left homeless after a fire outbreak that razed down their grass thatched houses in the teachers’ quarters.

The incident occurred on Wednesday at around 1:00am from the school located in Anyadwe village, Patiko Sub County in Gulu district.

Komakech Patrick, the LC III Chairperson for Patiko Sub County says the head teacher was woken up by the smell of smoke and when she rushed outside to save her belongings, she realized another hut belonging to a teacher was also on fire.
