Gulu Archbishop Appeals for Peace and Vigilance Before Polls

His Grace, Raphael P’Mony Wokorach, the Gulu Arch Bishop, has called for peace and watchfulness ahead of the general elections slated for January 2026.

The archbishop who was delivering his Christmas message during a press briefing at his residence in For God, Bardege-Layibi-Division in Gulu City yesterday afternoon discouraged intimidation, saying it is a vice that God does not want.

He says Ugandans should be inspiring each other with good examples and honest programmes of development.

He explains that violence as witnessed on December 6th when National Unity Platform presidential candidate, Robert Kyagulany also known as Bobi Wine was attacked by street gangs, police and army while in Gulu, destroys the hope that comes with Christmas celebrations.

Wokorach asks Ugandans to be watchful and avoid being manipulated during this election period adding that people should not sell highly valuable things like justice and life.
