Lamwo Halts Teacher Transfers After Complaints From Parents, Staff

Lamwo District has reversed the recent transfers of head teachers, deputy head teachers, and classroom teachers following complaints from staff and parents.

The decision, issued by Chief Administrative Officer Chuna Moses Kapolon, takes effect immediately.

The directive was also sent to the District Education Officer, Resident District Commissioner, and all head teachers to ensure compliance and all affected teachers have been instructed to return to their former schools.

The CAO says the reversal aims to maintain stability in school leadership and ensure uninterrupted learning across the district.

Lamwo District Education Officer Banabas Langoya confirmed to Favour FM that his office is implementing the directive without delay.

Lamwo District Secretary for Education, Health and Community-Based Services, Erwondo Peter Fred, emphasizes that leadership stability is critical for improving school performance and implementing government education programs.
