Over 200 people have received free medical support during a one-day medical camp organized by Freedom Word Ministries international located in Laroo-WangTangi, Pece-Laroo division, Gulu City.
Prophet Isaac Wodenka, the Senior Pastor at Freedom Word Ministries International says this is their first edition of Health Camp adding that their focus as a Church is to transform the lives of people in the community.
Wodenka says they are doing the heart of God adding that they realized through their outreach that many people have many medical needs in the community.
Several medical services were offered including; cancer screening, orthopedic services, and pediatric services among others.
Wodenka says they plan to conduct the camp quarterly because of the high turn up which was witnessed during the first edition.
Atengei Stella, a Senior Nurse who attended the Health Camp notes that sickle cell was among the many cases tested with over 90 percent of the people testing positive.
She also says that they referred 30 Women who were examined for breast cancer to Koro Cancer Institute for further test and examination.
