
Police in Oyam District, are investigating a case of murder registered at Kamdini Town Council.
Jimmy Patrick Okema, the Aswa West Police spokesperson says the incident is alleged to have occurred yesterday at about 02:00am at Township Cell, Western Ward, Kamdini Town Council in Oyam District.
The case was reported on the same day at approximately 07:30am by Akot Patricia, a 29-year-old businesswoman who resides in the same area.
The deceased has been identified as Omaa Solomon, a 28-year-old peasant farmer who resides at Alyec Village, Pukica Parish, Kamdini Sub County in Oyam District.
Preliminary findings indicate that on the night of 17th March 2026, the deceased was allegedly attacked by unknown person(s) while inside Mok Tami Restaurant, owned by the reporter, along Kampala Road where he had been residing.
The assailants reportedly stabbed him multiple times using a sharp object, leading to his death.
The body was later dumped naked in a septic pit under construction, where it was discovered at around 06:00am by the reporter, who subsequently informed the police.
Okema says police immediately responded to the scene and a team of detectives and uniformed personnel led by the Officer in Charge of Kamdini Town Council Police Station, visited and processed the scene.
Statements have been recorded from relevant witnesses to aid investigations.
The body of the deceased has been conveyed for postmortem examination at Anyeke health center IV as investigations continue while the suspects remain unknown at this stage.
