
The police in Aswa West are warning the public against rigging votes, with six people already arrested during the recent Mayoral election.
David Ongom Mudong, the Aswa West Police Spokesperson says police will not tolerate vote rigging adding that anyone caught will be arrested and investigated.
Ongom urges voters to report any suspicious activity, saying the police needs to come up with new plans for securing votes.
Peter Banya, the Deputy City Commissioner in charge of Laroo-Pece Division warns that those involved in rigging of votes will be punished, appealing to the public to report incidents.
Ugandans will elect their Municipality and City Division Chairpersons and Councilors tomorrow.
