Seven video halls demolished in Gulu city in trade order implementation

Peter Banya, the Gulu Deputy Resident City Commissioner in charge Laroo-Pece Division says they have so far demolished seven video halls during the ongoing

implementation of the trade order.

He explains that they targeted the video halls because they have been a hideout for criminals who use them to sleep during the day before they descend on locals at night.

Banya says that the video halls were also being used by criminals to plan their activities.

The RCC notes that criminality has reduced since the demolition of the video halls.

He adds that more video halls will be demolished in ForGod, Lacor and Unyama during the operation to ensure security.
