Unyama and Abera bridges in Gulu district have been earmarked for reconstruction estimated to cost 1 billion shillings.
Unyama Bridge connects Aparanga-Lukodi-Laco anga in Bungatira Sub County while Abera Bridge connects Acutumer-Cwero- Boo-Bango and Aleda in Awach Sub County.
Christopher Opiyo Ateker, the L.C V chairperson Gulu district says that the two bridges are currently in a poor state affecting access to markets, schools and health centers among others.
Opiyo says that the two bridges have been assessed for reconstruction work expected to take place in the next financial year.
