At least six people have died in a fatal accident along the Hoima-Kampala road in Kyankwanzi district.
Seven others have critically been injured.
The accident involved two motor vehicles, an Isuzu bus registration number UBQ 595G and a Fuso Fighter truck registration number UBF 541C.
The accident happened at around 4:00am at Kyakabuga village in Kyankwanzi district.
The bus that was loaded with passengers was traveling from Kampala to Hoima while the Fuso lorry that was loaded with charcoal was from Hoima heading to Kampala.
They collided head on killing the six people on the spot.
Both vehicles got burnt.
The bodies have been picked up by the police who conveyed them to Hoima regional referral hospital city mortuary for postmortem examination.
Lameck Kigozi, the Wamala region police spokesperson adds that investigations have commenced.
