
Gulu City Town Clerk Innocent Ahimbisibwe has issued a two weeks’ ultimatum for street vendors to stop selling their products on walkways and road reserves.
Ahimbisibwe notes that several vendors are selling their products and goods on the streets which has congested the City.
He says implementation of the state order will be done with support from Gulu City security officials and law enforcement officers from Gulu City.
The City Clerk urges all the street vendors selling along the streets including kiosks and mobile money shops to voluntary vacate the streets and return to markets or get a shop for transcations.
Peter Banya, the Deputy Resident City Commissioner (RCC) for Laroo-Pece division says security is ready to implement the trade order after the two weeks expires.
Some of the most congested places include; Olailong market street, the parking space at Gulu main market, and shops in front of former Alobo Limited among others.
