UNEB Clears Kotido School, Releases PLE Results

The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has released the 2025 Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) results for Kotido Army Primary School after clearing the school of suspected examination malpractice.

The results had initially been withheld after UNEB suspected that the candidates may have received external assistance during the examinations.

However, a hearing conducted by the UNEB Examinations Security Committee on the 27th of last month cleared the school’s head teacher, Simon Tito Elanyu, and the affected candidates.

Following the hearing, UNEB released the results on Monday.

The decision has brought relief to parents and school administrators who had been anxiously waiting for the outcome, fearing that the delay could affect the pupils’ transition to secondary school.

According to the final results, the school registered 62 candidates for the examinations.

Of these, five passed in Division One, 55 in Division Two, and one in Division Three, while one candidate did not sit the examinations.

The results have also increased the number of candidates who passed in Division One in Kotido Municipality to 57, up from the earlier tally of 52.
