
A total of 16 boda-boda motorcycles have been stolen from members of Gulu City West Boda-boda motorcycle Association in the recent wave of gun violence.
Emmy Ocen, the chairperson Gulu City West Boda-boda Association says that the bikes were stolen in the last one month.
Only one motorcycle has since been recovered, according to Ocen.
He explains that security investigations have revealed that the stolen motorcycles are taken to Arua and later to D.R Congo and Lamwo then later to South Sudan where recovering the bikes is hard.
Meanwhile, 20 other motorcycles have been stolen from Gulu City West Boda-boda association members in the last three months.
The bikes were stolen from parking spaces, break-ins and self-ride.
