Wildfire Ravages Coopil Village, 14 Homes Destroyed in Gulu

A devastating wildfire yesterday swept through Coopil village, Kicika subvillage, Angaya Parish, Unyama subcounty, in Gulu district leaving 14 households in ashes.

Kidega Justine, Unyama sub-county LC3 Chairperson confirms this saying the Fire left 38 women and children without basic necessities like clothes, beddings, food, and documents destroyed.

Kidega suspects the fire could have been started by grass cutters in the area. 

He says, they are urgently appealing for humanitarian support such as; Tapplins for erecting temporary shelters.

Blankets, clothing, utensils, Mosquito nets to prevent malaria, Food and other essential items.
