War Victims Group Partners with Humura Health to Train 1,000 in Northern Uganda

War Victims and Children Networking has partnered with Humura Health to provide vocational skills training to 1,000 victims of war in Northern Uganda through empowering them with income-generating skills.

The initiative aims at supporting the region’s recovery and promoting economic stability.

Stella Lanam, the Director of War Victims and Children Networking says the partnership aims to address trauma and support recovery in Acholi, where many still suffer from the war’s impact.

Peter Banya, the Deputy Resident City Commissioner in charge of Laroo-Pece Division urges victims to support their children and calls for a rehabilitation center in Acholi to tackle trauma.

He urges the government to help in solving issues affecting victims, ensuring their safety because some haven’t received trauma counseling.

Mukonyezi Wilfred, the Director of Humura Health says they are not only empowering victims with skills but also promoting environmental protection.

Humura therapy is a solution that takes a modern approach to the mental healthcare interactions that were traditionally in person or manual, offering a more integrated, digital, instant, frictionless experience for mental health care services.

This type of digital mental health approach strategy empowers patients to access information, support, and even care right from the palm of their hand.
