
Police in Gulu City West Division are holding four people in connection with cases of robbery in Laliya Ward, Dwol Cell, Gulu East Division
David Ongom Mudong, the Aswa West Police Spokesperson says the operation was conducted yesterday at around 09:00am by Officers from Gulu East Police Station in areas of Dwol Cell, Laliya Ward, targeting youths who disturb the area.
Mudong says the four arrested suspects are; 20 year old Okello Denis of Agonga Cell, a 16 year old juvenile, a 17 year old juvenile from Kabedopong and 18 year old Omara Emmanuel, a resident of Laliya.
Mudong says upon conducting a search, police recovered Opium, three pangas, two knives, six plastic chairs, breaking implements, three phones, and two smartphones.
He says they intend to charge the four with burglary and theft, being in possession of suspected stolen property, illegal possession of suspected narcotic drugs and possession of breaking implements
Upon completing inquiries, the case file will be submitted to Resident State Attorney for perusal and legal advice.
