Kyambogo University has introduced three more undergraduate courses for its Paidha branch campus in Zombo district, marking major milestone for academic excellence in Northern Uganda.
Dr. Joseph Rwothomio the acting head of department in education and focal point person of Kyambogo University Paidha Branch in an interview with Favour fm revealed the development on Friday, adding that the programs are targeting self-sponsor “A” level entrants for 2026/2027 academic year, intake of August 2026.
He says the programs are opened for normal studies/lectures on weekdays.
The new programs for Paidha are: Bachelor of Education Primary, Bachelor Vocational Agriculture with Education and Bachelor of Business Administration.
Dr. Rwothomio adds that registration is going on at the Paidha Campus and online respectively encouraging interested students to apply.
The Paidha branch which was opened in 2024, started with programme for in-service teachers has been offering diplomas and Bachelor’s in primary education.
This development has brought joy to residents of greater Nebbi districts of Zombo, Nebbi and Pakwach who have for long sought higher education at campuses far away.
Hassan Ringtho, the Zombo district LC V Vice Chairperson, Commended Kyambogo University Council for approving these courses for Paidha Campus, rallying the community to grab the chance by enrolling in large numbers.
In 2024, former state minister of energy Eng. Simon Giu D’Ujanga called upon the media to give coverage to the long awaited University appealing to the communities of West Nile to send more learners also in support of the University.
