Improving Education Standards Tops Nwoya District Priority List This Year, Says LCV Chairperson

Patrick Okello Oryema, the Nwoya District LCV Chairperson says their main focus this year is improving standards of education in the district. 

Oryema says several plans for improving the education standards and school performance have been planned such as hiring Associate assessors who includes former retired Head teachers to help in the monitoring of school activities. 

He adds that they will also introduce model schools and have set a target of getting first grades for every government school. 

Oryema also adds that they will introduce Head Teachers association and each Head teacher will be required to sign a performance contract.

Nwoya District currently have 44 government aided Primary x schools.
