Choir Teachers Empowered to Guide Learners at National MDD Festival

102 choir teachers from Gulu district primary schools have been trained ahead of the National Music Dance and Drama (MDD) Festival set for August in Iganga.

The two-day training took place on Friday and Saturday at Gulu district council hall.

Jackline Akello, the Inspector of Schools for Gulu district says they invited two choir teacher representatives from each of the primary school in the district.

She says all 47 government primary schools turned up while only eight private schools sent representatives.

This year’s National MDD festival will be held under the theme “safe learning environment for social transformation.”

The trained choir teachers are now expected to train pupils such that they can perform music, dance and drama around the theme.
