The Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF) has launched a manhunt for armed assailants who attacked farmers at Lipan farmland on early Sunday morning, leaving two men hospitalized and a woman briefly abducted.
The raid occurred around dawn at a site locally known as “T-Junction,” which connects Namokora North to Madi Opei Sub-county in Lamwo District and Akilok in Orom East Sub-county, Kitgum District.
The area sits along Uganda’s porous border with South Sudan, a corridor that has seen recurrent attacks on farming communities.
