
Agnes Nabwire, the acting commissioner tax investigations at Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) has said that enforcement is the last option the tax body takes while collecting taxes.
The commissioner who was speaking during an engagement yesterday at Boma hotel in Gulu city with tax payers says tax payers are usually informed before enforcement is done.
Nabwire was responding to concerns from tax payers of how URA officials most times accompanied by armed guards, lock up their business premises without prior notification.
She apologizes for the actions of the tax officials says the tax body’s core values are professionalism, integrity and patriotism
