Beginning of term exams scrapped due to financial challenge

Beginning of term exams has been scrapped from Bungatira primary school located in Laroo Pece division in Gulu City due to financial challenges.

This was revealed last week from a meeting organized by the school management with parents and teachers.

The chairperson school management committee, Nyeko Walter Atiko told parents that due to their negative attitude towards paying school fees and other dues, beginning of term exams is no longer being done at the school.

Atiko notes that currently the pupils are only doing mid term and end of term exams because the school is unable to produce beginning of term exams to be done.

Denis Ocaya, the councillor 4 representing the people of Agonga ward in Gulu City who also doubles as parent of the school advises parents to put their children first in whatever they do, times are hard but school dues have to be cleared first for a better performance.

Ocaya says beginning of term exams is like a yard stick that measures whether the pupils were engaged in books during holidays or not so it very important to do it.
