Newly sworn in Local Council I and II chairpersons in Patiko Sub county, Gulu district have been cautioned against criminal acts.
A total of eight local Council I and two Local Council II chairpersons were yesterday sworn into office during a function held at the Patiko Sub county headquarters.
Patrick Komakech, the L.CIII Chairperson Patiko Sub county asks the newly sworn in leaders to be exemplary to the communities they serve.
Komakech advises the leaders to distance themselves from criminal acts such as gambling, smoking marijuana, gambling and theft because the law will not be lenient with them.
The chairperson says that the leaders will soon be oriented on their roles and responsibilities.
