Peter Banya, the Deputy Resident City Commissioner for Laroo-Pece division has disclosed his plans of cracking down on teachers who are involved in boda boda work during class hours.
Banya says he has learnt with great concern that some teachers go on the road to do boda boda work when they are actually supposed to be in class teaching.
He adds that he has also learnt that some teachers are teaching in two schools instead of one yet they are on government payroll but also making money from private schools.
Banya says that effective from 3rd term, such teachers will be hunted down and forced them to do the right thing.
He says boda boda work cheats learners and teaching in more than one school reduces on the productivity of the teacher who gets very tired and fails to deliver as expected.
Banya warns teachers on government payroll who are also teaching in private schools to resign with immediate effect.
He also warns teachers involved in boda boda business to stop and focus on educating the children.
