Fred Otunu, the Director of corporate affairs at Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) has urged content creators in Acholi Sub Region to be responsible in their trade.
Otunu says responsible content should meet some standards such as fairness and avoiding harm in the name of getting viewers.
Otunu who speaking during a stakeholder engagement with over 200 content creators at Bomah hotel in Gulu City says some content creators are unable to monetize their work because it is indecent.
This training follows the arrest of several content creators for publishing harmful content.
Content creation currently offers a lot of opportunities to creators considering that there are 26.9 internet subscribers in Uganda as of last year.
